NEW YORK — Yankees starter Luis Cessa looked dominant at times on Saturday Josh Donaldson Womens Jersey afternoon, but a few mistakes did him in during the team’s 8-1 loss to the Rangers at Yankee Stadium.

Up to that point, the Rangers had scored only one run off Cessa. But the two-run homer proved too much for the Yankees’ struggling offense.

Other than a first-inning run, Cessa kept the Rangers in check early on. He set a new career-high with eight strikeouts — six of which came in the first two innings. Opposing hitters swung and missed on 10 of his first 40 pitches.

Braves’ Austin Riley Josh Donaldson Jersey For Sale perfect for Fire Frogs

Austin Riley’s perfect day at the plate helped lead Class A Advanced Florida to a 4-3 win over Fort Myers on Saturday.

“I’m feeling good right now; I’ve been struggling a little bit,” Riley told MiLB.com. “It’s kind of like the struggling where you’re hitting the ball right at people, so it’s kind of frustrating not finding holes. I’m seeing the ball well, I think they’re just starting to fall through.”

Riley gave the Fire Frogs a two-run lead with a homer in the first inning and then homered again, his 11th of the season, in the third.

The 20-year-old drew a walk in the sixth and then finished Josh Donaldson Jersey For Sale his day with a double in the seventh.

“That was money. I feel like I haven’t touched second in a while,” Riley said. “Just getting that third hit, it just felt really good. I needed it, for sure.”

No. 49 overall prospect Triston McKenzie (Indians’ No. 3) bounced back in a big way for Class A Advanced Lynchburg. After giving up seven runs in 1 2/3 innings in his last start, McKenzie gave up one run on eight hits over six innings. The 19-year-old didn’t issue a walk and struck out nine.

No. 66 overall prospect Mike Soroka’s (Braves’ No. 4) scoreless streak came to a close, but the 19-year-old still spun a gem for Double-A Mississippi. Soroka gave up an earned run in the sixth, his first in over 30 frames, and left the game after giving up one run on nine hits in six innings.

No. 90 overall prospect Casey Gillaspie (Rays’ No. 5) hit his seventh homer of the season as part of a 3-for-4 effort as Triple-A Durham routed Charlotte, 17-3. Gillaspie hit a two-run homer in the second, singled in the fourth and added a double in the fifth.

• Rangers’ No. 4 prospect Ronald Guzman hit his eighth homer of the season, a three-run blast in Triple-A Round Rock’s loss to Iowa. Guzman, who finished 2-for-4 with four RBIs, has homered in two consecutive games and three times in his past five.

Yankees sign Clarke Schmidt, Josh Donaldson Womens Jersey Matt Sauer

NEW YORK — The New York Yankees got their top two 2017 Draft selections — right-handers Clarke Schmidt and Matt Sauer — under contract, the club announced on Saturday.Men’s Majestic Flexbase Authentic 20 Josh Donaldson Toronto Blue Jays Alternate Royal Blue Jersey Cheap.

Schmidt, the Yankees’ first-round pick and the No. 16 selection Josh Donaldson Jersey For Sale in the Draft, ranked second in the country with a 1.34 ERA in nine starts for the University of South Carolina this season.

Full Game Coverage

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Schmidt was named to USA Baseball’s Golden Spikes Award Midseason Watch List for the second straight year, while striking out 70 batters in 60 1/3 innings and holding Kevin Pillar Womens Jersey opposing hitters to a .194 batting average. Schmidt reportedly signed for a bonus of $2,184,300, while the slot value for the No. 16 pick is $3,458,600 — though the terms of his deal have not yet been disclosed.

“Everyone always likes to give me the [comparison] to Zack Greinke,” Schmidt told MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch on June 13. “He’s a strike-thrower, he’s a competitive guy. That’s something I pride myself on, competitiveness. I like to pitch with a chip on my shoulder.”

Yankees starter Jordan Montgomery also played at the University of South Carolina, and the two met during offseason workout Josh Donaldson Womens Jersey s at the campus.

Sauer was the Yankees’ second-round selection and the No. 54 overall selection Kevin Pillar Youth Jersey in the Draft. The 18-year-old went 9-1 with a 0.98 ERA and 142 strikeouts in 78 1/3 frames for Righetti High School in Santa Maria, Calif., in 2017.

Should Blue Jays Josh Donaldson Jersey be batting third

How long is Joe Girardi going to keep batting Gary Sanchez in the two-hole? I think he should be batting third or behind Aaron Judge.
— Ryan T., Flagler Beach, Fla.

Having Sanchez hitting second seems to be something that Girardi has committed to, allowing for some occasional fluctuations. That should give Sanchez additional plate appearances over the course of a full season, though it will obviously reduce some of his RBI opportunities.

There’s a sabermetric school of thought that suggests a team’s best hitter is more valuable batting second than third. For what it’s worth, Sanchez has said that Josh Donaldson Jersey he is fine with hitting wherever his manager wants. We asked Girardi this weekend what makes Sanchez such an appealing choice for the No. 2 spot:

“There’s Russell Martin Jersey a bunch of things,” Girardi said. “He’s an on-base guy, he’s a power guy, he’s a guy that has the ability to be patient, to get deep into counts. He’s going to hit his doubles, he’s going to hit his home runs. [Brett Gardner] is going to score on those.

“I think he’s a really good hitter, too. I think he’s going to hit for average. I Joe Carter Jersey think all of us have probably thought that he’s not swung the bat as well as he’s capable, but his numbers are pretty good. He’s on base, what, about [35] percent of the time? That’s pretty good for a guy that really hasn’t taken off yet.”

• Submit a question to the Yankees Inbox

How long do you think Chris Carter will last with the Yankees? Do you think Tyler Austin will eventually take his place when he’s healthy?
— Andy D., Fort Worth, Texas

It’s possible. The club will huddle during Monday’s off-day to discuss both Austin and Greg Bird, who is rehabbing at Class A Advanced Tampa. The Yankees have talked about wanting to give Austin about 55 to 60 at-bats in the Minors because he missed all of Spring Training; through Sunday, he’s tallied 44 and hit quite well (.341/.396/.545).

Though Girardi has pointed to Carter’s 14 RBIs in 111 at-bats as “not terrible,” it’s obvious that his low batting average (.180) and strikeouts (48) are not sustainable long term, even for a player who brings that as part of his usual landscape. The Yanks have gotten the worst production in the Majors at first base (that’s not an exaggeration, their .563 OPS ranks dead last), so adding a healthy Austin and/or Bird could only Blue Jays Jersey Red help.

What is the plan for Gleyber Torres? Didi Gregorius is still relatively young, so will someone move to another position? If so, who?
— Francisco S., Mazatlan, Mexico

The easy answer is to say that Torres may slide in to replace Chase Headley at third base, and it’s something they could consider later in the season, especially if Headley’s offensive slump continues. Torres is on a 3-3-2 rotation at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre between third base, shortstop and second base, so the Yankees are keeping their options open. It very well may be that an injury opens the door for his promotion.

There seems to be a question of maturity with Clint Frazier and Jorge Mateo. Considering the abundance of outfielders and middle infielders, are those Jose Bautista Jersey two prospects a little less untouchable?
— Tim G., New York

General manager Brian Cashman has always maintained a stance that no player is off limits — at least as far as trade requests go — but some are a little more attainable than others. In the case of the two players you mentioned, it could really go either way — they could help the Yankees at the Major League level in the near future, or be used as chips to acquire a player that will.

As far as the maturity question goes, let’s try to remember that these are still just kids. I’m reminded of what Reggie Jackson said after the silly hubbub about Frazier’s hair: “I think he’s doing great. It takes time for us to change sometimes. And I don’t know if I can remember back how I thought when I was 22, but I sure as hell was a wild antelope in the Kevin Pillar Jersey woods.”

What happened to the “oven mitt” that Brett Gardner used to wear when he ran the bases?
— Paul S., Albany, N.Y.

Great question. I asked Gardner and he said that the fiberglass device was to protect his left thumb, and since it isn’t really bothering him anymore, he has done away with it. But here’s the interesting part: Gardner said that the Baseball Hall of Fame asked for the guard that he helped Custom Blue Jays Jersey design, as it represented an innovation in the game. So to answer your question in the literal sense, that “oven mitt” was sent to Cooperstown.

If Bird cannot make it back to his potential, is there a chance Judge could move to first to open up an outfield spot for one of the Yankees’ many young prospects?
— Andy B., Tampa, Fla.

First off, everything we saw in the spring with Bird suggests that he’ll be fine, but I wouldn’t change anything in Judge’s game right now. Sure, his size would make for a great target at first base, but he’s more than a capable right fielder. You can see it in the routes that Judge takes to balls, the jumps that he gets and the throws that he makes.

As promising as Dustin Fowler and Frazier may be, Cashman has said that he doesn’t have anyone at Triple-A who would start over Gardner, Aaron Hicks, Judge or Jacoby Ellsbury (when healthy). Their time will most likely come; there are scouts who believe that Fowler in Troy Tulowitzki Jersey particular could help the Major League lineup right now.

Yankees, Red Sox,Blue Jays Josh Donaldson Jersey go bowling for charity

NEW YORK — After 2,144 baseball games between the Yankees and Red Sox over their storied history, the rivalry took a different stage Monday Josh Donaldson Jersey night: bowling lanes.

A night before the two teams are set to begin a highly anticipated three-game series at Yankee Stadium, one that could flip the two top teams in the American League East, the franchises squared off in a friendly bowling competition at trendy Bowlmor Times Square in Manhattan.

The occasion: to raise money for the PitCCh In Foundation, CC and Amber Sabathia’s organization, which aims to enrich the lives of inner-city youth. The Sabathias founded the foundation in 2008, and it’s now involved in promoting youth athletic Russell Martin Jersey activities in the tri-state area and Sabathia’s native Northern California.

“It’s a lot of fun to get people to come out and be supportive of our foundation,” CC Sabathia said. “Our foundation has grown so much, ever since we came to New York. Hopefully it continues to grow and we can reach more kids.”

The Yankees and Red Sox may very well end up battling all summer, with New York riding the wave of its new young superstar Aaron Judge and the Red Sox lately playing closer to the potential of their veteran-heavy Troy Tulowitzki Jersey club. The Yankees lead the AL East by two games over the Sox entering Tuesday’s opener, in which Masahiro Tanaka will oppose Drew Pomeranz.

But the atmosphere was jovial Monday night, with nothing but good vibes — and a healthy fear of Mookie Betts’ bowling prowess — dominating conversation prior to the event. Sabathia and former Red Sox slugger David Ortiz headlined the night, both coaching sponsored teams that competed against each other. Ortiz’s team squeaked out a narrow victory.

Also participating were Jose Bautista Jersey Aaron Hicks, Brett Gardner, Matt Holliday, Betts, David Price and others, including New York Giants quarterback Geno Smith, Charlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walker, Super Bowl champion Tiki Barber and actor Isiah Whitlock.

Betts is best known for being the 2016 American League MVP runner-up, but he’s also widely considered the best bowler in baseball. Betts participated in the World Series of Bowling last year and bowled a 300 on a separate occasion.

“I’m going to steer clear of his lane,” Yankees reliever Tyler Clippard said. “I have no shot if I go against him.”

“There is a bunch of Joe Carter Jersey hype going around,” Betts said. “I’m just going to have fun.”

That wasn’t a problem once Ortiz showed up, as the retired slugger shared hugs and handshakes with everyone he came into contact with. Ortiz and Sabathia have competed against each other since 2001, Sabathia’s rookie year in Cleveland. Ortiz was still with the Minnesota Twins, two years removed from signing with Boston. The two are common supporters of each other. Sabathia attended one of Ortiz’s events in the Dominican Republic this past offseason. Sabathia predicted he’d out-bowl Ortiz, though the Red Sox still entered the night heavy favorites because of Betts’ expertise.

“He’s still like a Kevin Pillar Jersey mentor,” Betts said of Ortiz. “I haven’t talked to him about bowling. Just about hitting.”

Braves Mike Soroka throws eight scoreless Wholesale Blue Jays Jerseys

If it feels like Double-A Mississippi’s Mike Soroka is doing something Russell Martin Jersey each time he takes the mound, it’s because he is.

That certainly was the case on Monday night, when the Braves’ No. 4 prospect scattered three hits over a career-high eight scoreless innings to lead Mississippi over Biloxi, 4-2. The 19-year-old righty struck out nine in the outing, throwing 66 of his 85 pitches for strikes, and generated another 13 outs via ground balls.

“Tonight was one of those rare nights where pretty much everything was working for me,” Soroka told MiLB.com. “[Catcher Kade Scivicque] and I did a really good job of working together again. I was throwing both off-speed pitches and both of my fastballs for strikes at will. So those are the kind of nights that you’ve got to capitalize on having your stuff and make sure you go out there and attack every hitter.”

Soroka, MLB Pipeline’s No. 67 overall prospect, has been remarkable for the M-Braves this season, despite bypassing the Class A Advanced level entirely after he spent all of 2016 with Class A Josh Donaldson Jersey Rome.

To go along with a 7-3 record in 11 starts, Soroka’s 1.02 WHIP and a 2.73 ERA rank fifth and 11th among hurlers in the Southern League, respectively. He’s posted 60 strikeouts against 15 walks in 52 2/3 innings, all the while holding opposing hitters to a .209 average.

The rest of the best performances from top prospects Monday

• No. 2 overall prospect Gleyber Torres (Yankees’ No. 1) belted a three-run, go-ahead home run to help power Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre past Rochester, 6-3. It was the sixth home run of the season and first as a member of the RailRiders for the 20-year-old shortstop, who finished 3-for-3 with four RBIs and a walk.

“Tonight, he got better pitches to hit, like the homer, which was a fastball up in the zone,” Scranton/Wilkes-Barre manager Al Pedrique told MiLB.com. “He’s still trying to feel comfortable at this level, and the pitchers have been throwing him a lot of breaking stuff and changeups out of the zone. But he saw that fastball and jumped on it. The ball really wasn’t carrying very well here today. You don’t see many leave the park in left-center like that, but as soon as he hit it, we knew it was gone Troy Tulowitzki Jersey.”

• No. 10 overall prospect Brendan Rodgers (Rockies’ No. 1) hit a two-run home run, his ninth of the season, to extend his hitting streak to 14 games for Class A Advanced Lancaster. During that stretch, the 20-year-old shortstop has improved his slash line from .356/.374/.594 to .390/.411/.686, and he’s now collected 62 hits in 37 games. On the mound for the JetHawks, right-hander Peter Lambert (No. 6) fired seven scoreless innings with six hits allowed and 10 strikeouts to record the win. It was his second 10-strikeout performance of the season.

• No. 20 overall prospect Nick Senzel (Reds’ No. 1) stayed hot for Class A Advanced Daytona as he went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer, his fourth, and two runs scored. The 2016 No. 2 overall pick is hitting .304/.366/.467 on the season and leads the Florida State League with 21 doubles in 54 games.

• After fanning 10 batters in 16 innings across his three previous Joe Carter Jersey starts, No. 30 overall prospect Lucas Giolito (White Sox No. 4) recorded a season-high 11 strikeouts while tossing six innings of one-run ball in a no-decision for Triple-A Charlotte. The 22-year-old righty scattered five hits and walked two en route to throwing 101 pitches, 72 for strikes. He lowered his ERA to 4.95 with the performance, and he’s now punched out 53 in 52 innings overall.

• No. 59 overall prospect Luke Weaver (Cardinals’ No. 3) set a career high with 11 strikeouts in a lights-out performance for Triple-A Memphis. The 23-year-old righty tossed five scoreless frames, allowing two hits and one walk before departing after 81 pitches (51 strikes). He’s now 6-1 in eight starts totaling 44 innings, with a 1.84 ERA and a 49-to-7 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

• No. 81 overall prospect Stephen Gonsalves (Twins’ No. 2) struck out eight over five scoreless innings in his best start for Double-A Chattanooga. The 22-year-old lefty threw 57 of his 96 pitches for strikes in the Kevin Pillar Jersey outing, allowing two hits and three walks. He owns a 2.45 ERA and a 0.76 WHIP through four starts, with a 26-to-5 strikeout-to-walk ratio and a .167 opponents’ average in 22 innings.

A’s No. 17 prospect Renato Nunez connected on his 15th home run, a two-run shot that accounted for all of Triple-A Nashville’s offense in a loss against Omaha. He also hit a double before finishing 3-for-4, giving the 23-year-old a .261/.321/.564 batting line this season.

Mets No. 3 prospect Justin Dunn turned in his third straight scoreless outing for Class A Advanced St. Lucie, as he struck out a career-high seven batters while yielding five hits in five innings. The Custom Blue Jays Jersey 2016 first-rounder (No. 19 overall) has posted 11 blank frames in those outings, during which he’s lowered his ERA to 4.81 from 6.21.

• Reds No. 26 prospect Gavin LaValley went back-to-back with Senzel for Daytona, and then went deep once more in his next at-bat to finish 2-for-4 with three RBIs. The 21-year-old first baseman leads the Florida State League with 15 home runs. Second baseman Shed Long (No. 13) also Jose Bautista Jersey homered for the Tortugas, his second in as many games and fifth in his last 10. Overall, he’s hitting .311/.369/.538 with 11 homers — third most in the FSL — through 53 games.

Aaron Judge meets David Ortiz for first time Blue Jays Jersey Free Shipping

NEW YORK — The way David Ortiz and Aaron Judge embraced, you’d think they were lifelong friends. In fact, Judge was asked how long they’d known each other after the two shared a handshake and a giant hug before a CC Sabathia’s charity bowling event Monday night in Manhattan.

“That was the first time I met him,” said Josh Donaldson Jersey. “That’s just David’s personality. Everybody is his friend. He welcomes everybody. It was cool to finally meet him and hang out with him a little bit.”

Like so many others, Ortiz has admired Judge’s rapid rise from promising rookie to American League MVP Award candidate this season with wonder and awe. Judge is quickly replacing Ortiz, who retired after last season, as the biggest power threat in the AL East, and he’ll be front and center when the Yankees and Red Sox begin an anticipated three-game series Tuesday at Yankee Stadium. Judge leads the AL in runs and homers.

Bowling for dollars: Yanks-Sox in Joe Carter Jersey charity event

“Look at Judge. That kid is scary, man,” Ortiz said. “That is the scariest thing I’ve ever seen. A guy that big? He’s special.”

Not only is Judge, 25, putting up Ortiz-like numbers in his first full season, he’s impressing baseball people with the way he’s been able to control the strike zone given his height and frame. Ortiz is no different. The man they call “Big Papi” is listed at 6-foot-3, 230 pounds, but he has to look up at Judge and make an effort to wrap his arms fully around him.

“To be honest with you, the strike zone for Russell Martin Jersey a guy his size … that’s why I believe he’s so good and he’s going to get better,” Ortiz said. “When you are that tall, the strike zone is bigger. Then you watch him hit, and he don’t chase bad pitches. That’s special, man. God bless him.”

Papi, Sox discussing role within organization

Ortiz and Judge were both on hand at Bowlmor Times Square to support Sabathia’s PitCCh In Foundation, which looks to enrich the lives of inner-city youth in the New York Tri-State Are and Northern California. Other participants were Dellin Betances, Aaron Hicks, Brett Gardner, Matt Holliday, Mookie Betts, David Price and others, including New York Giants quarterback Geno Smith, Charlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walker, former NFL star Tiki Barber and actor Isiah Kevin Pillar Jersey.

Judge intends to take Tuesday’s game against Boston much more seriously.

“Off the field, we’re all good friends,” Judge said. “But once we get on that field, we’re competitive.”

Vargas, Pineda set for rematch in opener Toronto Blue Jays MLB Apparel

The Royals and Yankees will square off for the second time in a Russell Martin Jersey week as they open a four-game set at Yankee Stadium on Monday. New York took two of three in Kansas City last week and will trot out Michael Pineda for the series opener. Left-hander Jason Vargas will counter him on the mound.

Pineda (4-2, 3.42 ERA) defeated the Royals in his last start, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits over six innings. Kansas City clubbed two homers — via Salvador Perez and Whit Merrifield — off the Marcus Stroman Jersey righty in the Yankees’ 11-7 win on Wednesday. Pineda has a tendency to work ahead of hitters, throwing 67.6 percent first-pitch strikes since the start of the 2016 season.

Full Game Coverage

Vargas (5-Custom Blue Jays Jersey 2, 2.03 ERA) will aim to recover from his last outing, when he gave up six runs across four innings in Wednesday’s loss to New York. Prior to his last start, Vargas had allowed five earned runs over his previous seven starts. Vargas prefers his offspeed to end at-bats. He has recorded 24 of his 43 strikeouts with his changeup this year.

Things to know about this game
• Pineda has made nine career starts against the Royals, going 4-5 with a 3.95 ERA and 51 strikeouts compared to just 12 walks in 57 innings.

• Vargas has yet to notch a victory against the Yankees in his career. In 10 outings (nine starts), the left-hander is 0-6 with a 7.15 ERA, 33 Kevin Pillar Jersey strikeouts and 13 walks over 45 1/3 frames.

Ryan Goins Jersey In 15 career at-bats, Yanks designated hitter Matt Holliday has a .267/.313/.400 line against Vargas. Meanwhile, Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer is batting .300 (6-for-20) with a pair of RBIs and a homer off Pineda.

Phillies’ Justin Smoak and Kevin Pillar Jerseys Scott Kingery stays hot for Reading

Scott Kingery has found his power stroke.

The Phillies’ No. 11 prospect hit a pair of solo homers, in the seventh and ninth innings, as part of a 4-for-5 day, but it was not enough for Double-A Reading as the Fightin Phils fell 8-7 to New Hampshire.

The homers are part of a recent power surge in what has already been Kevin Pillar Jersey a bit of a breakthrough season for the 2015 second-round pick, who now leads the Eastern League with 13 homers.

“Everyone keeps asking me if I’m a home run hitter and I keep telling them no,” Kingery told MiLB.com. “I’m honestly just trying to put a good, line-drive swing on the ball, and for some reason I’m hitting them in the air and they’re getting some carry on them. For me, it’s not about hitting home runs, but they just happen to be going out right now.”

Kingery has gone deep four times over his past three games — including a two-homer game on Friday — and six times over his past seven games.

While those numbers would be impressive for anyone, they are even more remarkable when put in context with the rest of his career: Kingery began the season with just eight homers in Ryan Goins Jersey 197 games.

Other top prospect performances from Sunday’s action:

No. 39 overall prospect Reynaldo Lopez (White Sox No. 4) was stuck with a no-decision despite another strong start for Triple-A Charlotte. Lopez gave up one run on three hits in six innings, throwing 53 of his 85 pitches for strikes. The 23-year-old righty has a 2.94 ERA through 49 innings and has surrendered one earned run or fewer in four of his past five starts.

No. 100 overall prospect Luis Urias (Padres’ No. 4) extended his hitting streak to eight games with a 3-for-5 effort for Russell Martin Jersey Double-A San Antonio. Urias, just 19 years old, has hits in 13 of his past 14 games and is slashing .344/.429/.485 through 41 games.

• Bryan Reynolds (Giants’ No. 3) set a career high with five hits, going 5-for-6 with four RBIs for Class A Advanced San Jose. Reynolds’ three-run triple highlighted a five-run fourth in a game in which practically everything went right for the former second-round pick.

• Pirates No. 4 prospect Ke’Bryan Hayes put together his third consecutive multi-hit game in Class A Advanced Bradenton’s win over Fort Myers. Hayes, who has hits in six of the past seven games, finished 3-for-5 with four RBIs.

• Cubs prospects Mark Zagunis (No. 6) and Victor Caratini (No. 12) combined for five hits, two homers and four RBIs, but it wasn’t enough as Triple-A Iowa fell to Tacoma, 8-7. Zagunis collected a season-high three hits, going 3-for-5 with a homer, two doubles and an RBI. Caratini, who finished 2-4 with a homer and three RBIs, continues to hit well. The 23-year-old has back-to-back multi-hit games and is batting .458 (11-for-24) over his past six games.

• Kyle Funkhouser (Tigers’ No. 6) may have faced stiffer competition, but he found a way to dominate anyway. The 23-year-old set a career high with 10 strikeouts over 7 2/3 innings in his Class A Advanced Lakeland debut Custom Blue Jays Jersey. Funkhouser, who had a 3.16 ERA through seven starts at the Class A level this season, gave up two runs on three hits without walking a batter.

• Steven Brault (Pirates’ No. 8) tossed seven scoreless innings, a season high, for Triple-A Indianapolis in a 3-2 win over Toledo. The lefty threw 65 of his 98 pitches for strikes, struck out four and gave up just a trio of hits.

“I was just attacking hitters — staying athletic, not overthinking things,” Brault told MiLB.com. “Toledo is more of a strength team; they’re a little more aggressive. There was a lot of decent or weak contact and then I kept my defenders engaged, not taking too much time in between pitches. I think that always helps.”

Angels No. 11 prospect David Fletcher set season highs in both hits and RBIs, going 4-for-4 with a trio of of runs driven in for Double-A Mobile. The shortstop plated two with a single in the first and another with a base hit in the fourth.

• Matt Olson (Athletics’ No. 15) bumped his hitting streak to six games with a perfect 4-for-4, three-RBI day at the plate for Triple-A Nashville. Olson also hit his 10th homer of the season, a solo blast in the eighth, as the Sounds beat Sacramento, 4-0.

• Yankees No. 19 prospect Nick Solak hit his second homer of the season and reached base five times for Marcus Stroman Jersey Class A Advanced Tampa. Solak, 22, notched his third three-hit game of the season, going 3-for-4 with two walks, a homer and two RBIs.

Brewers No. 20 prospect Corbin Burnes lowered his ERA to 1.00 through 54 innings for Class A Carolina after shutting out Winston-Salem over seven innings. Burnes, who struck out a career-high 10, has held opponents scoreless in five of his nine starts this season, including three of his past four.

• Monte Harrison (Brewers’ No. 22) matched his season high in both hits and RBIs as he went Justin Smoak Jersey 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs for Class A Wisconsin. Harrison, 21, has seven homers and 20 RBIs through 38 games this season.

Phillies No. 24 prospect Ben Lively threw a gem for Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The 25-year-old posted his first scoreless start of the season as he threw six strong innings against Syracuse. Lively lowered his ERA to 2.79 and struck out nine, the most he’s fanned in a game this season.

Marcus Stroman Baseball Jersey feels OK after foul tip hits mask

ST. PETERSBURG — Gary Sanchez sustained a bruised right jaw, but he said that he felt “fine” a day after having his catcher’s mask rattled in Saturday’s Russell Martin Jersey-5 loss to the Rays at Tropicana Field.

Sanchez was clipped by Daniel Robertson’s foul tip in the sixth inning. Bench coach Rob Thomson and an athletic trainer attended to Sanchez, who needed a few moments to gather himself before continuing the game.

“Yeah, you worry about that,” Yankees manager Joe Girardi said on Sunday. “I wasn’t really worried so much about a concussion, but his jaw was really sore. He says he’s OK. We’ll continue to watch him.”

Sanchez’s bat is heating up after he missed most of the season’s first month with a right biceps injury. He hit his fourth homer in Saturday’s loss, and he entered play on Sunday batting .370/.473/.587 (17-for-46) since returning from the disabled list on Marcus Stroman Jersey May 5.

Girardi said that foul tips and potential concussions are much more of a concern now than they were during his own playing career.

“I think we’re more aware of concussions, so when a guy does stay in, you feel pretty good about how he feels,” Girardi said. “But every time a guy gets hit now, I think we’re more concerned and we pay more attention to it.”

Help en route
Right-hander Bryan Mitchell has joined the Yankees from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for Sunday’s series finale, assisting a bullpen that has been taxed over the past week. Right-hander Giovanny Gallegos was optioned to Triple-A.

Girardi said that there have been “mixed reports” on Mitchell, who is 0-1 with a 4.00 ERA in three Triple-A starts. Mitchell is 1-1 with Ryan Goins Jersey a 6.35 ERA in nine big league relief appearances this year, spanning 11 1/3 innings.

“We’re trying to get his stuff consistent,” Girardi said. “He had that year layoff that really hurt him, but he has been pitching better of late, and he’s a guy that can give you nearly 70 pitches. In a bullpen that’s fairly taxed, that’s important, so we need him to step up for us.”

Mild-mannered slugger Aaron Judge shrugged and trotted to first base after being plunked Custom Blue Jays Jersey by the Rays’ Matt Andriese in the sixth inning on Saturday, prompting Andriese’s ejection. Judge said that he couldn’t envision a scenario where he’d ever take a step toward a pitcher.

“Not really. I don’t think I can get to that point, to be honest,” Judge said. “I never have. But I’ve protected other players Kevin Pillar Jersey before.”

Girardi said that he wasn’t surprised by Judge’s restraint, but he joked that Judge should have feinted toward the mound, as former big leaguer Tony Batista once did in Japan.

Injury report
Tyler Austin (left ankle fracture) played in his first Minor League rehab game on Saturday for Double-A Trenton, going 1-for-3 with a double and a walk. Greg Bird (right ankle bruise) is expected to begin baseball activities at Yankee Stadium on Monday. Aroldis Chapman (left rotator cuff inflammation) will be evaluated by a doctor on Monday in New York, with resumption of a throwing program in his near future.
