“It’s huge,” Giancarlo Stanton said. “He’s starting where he finished off last year. Keep driving. He’s pushing the envelope for things that haven’t been done. It’s cool to watch.”

The homer, Judge’s fourth of the season, was a second-inning solo shot to right-center field off of Marlins left-hander Caleb Smith. Statcast™ calculated the drive’s exit velocity at 108.2 mph, traveling a projected 386 feet.

“It’s just another day, another home run,” Judge said. “I’m just happy to add another run to the board and help our team out.”

The previous record was held by Mark McGwire, who hit 60 homers in his first 202 Major League games with the Athletics from 1987-88. Asked if the accomplishment had any meaning to him, Judge paused and replied: “Not really.”

“Maybe once my career is over or at the tail end, you look back and reflect on something like that,” Judge said. “We’ve got goals, we’ve got stuff we’ve got to accomplish this year. I’m just going to focus on that right now.”

With a 2-for-4 performance, Judge extended his hitting streak to 12 games, tying the Mariners’ Dee Gordon and the Cardinals’ Marcell Ozuna for the longest in the Majors this season. Judge is batting .400/.534/.711 (18-for-45) with 14 runs, two doubles, four homers, 11 RBIs, 12 walks and 13 strikeouts during the stretch.

“He’s in a really good place at the plate right now,” Yankees manager Aaron Boone said.

Judge has also hit safely in 17 straight home games, dating to  Mens 1994 Buffalo Bills 35th Anniversary Jim Kelly Mitchell and Ness Royal Blue Throwback Jersey Sept. 17 of last season. If Judge can notch a hit tonight against the Marlins, he will equal Carlos Beltran for the Yankees’ record of games with a consecutive hit at the current Yankee Stadium (18 games: July 19-Aug. 26, 2015).

“I’m just sticking to m Vintage 1968 Mitchell and Ness Joe Namath New York Jets Throwback Jersey Cheap y plan. That was the biggest thing,” Judge said. “If I start off hot or start off cold, the biggest thing is not wavering off your plan. That plan of attack, the minute I get off my plan and get on the defensive, bad things happen. It’s always been about staying on attack, hunting pitches and staying with your approach.”

Earlier in the day, the 21-year-old Torres was named the International League Player of the Week, having hit .385 (15-for-39) with a homer and 10 RBIs, appearing in 10 games for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Torres’ 22 total bases were tied for second in t Vintage 1968 Mitchell and Ness Joe Namath New York Jets Throwback Jersey Cheap he league, while his 10 RBIs ranked second.

Torres is rated as the No. 5 prospect in baseball by MLB Pipeline.

If the Yankees wait unti Men’s 1985 Chicago Bears 34 Walter Payton Mitchell and Ness Authentic Throwback Navy Blue Jersey l Wednesday to promote Torres, he would have spent 20 days in the Minors (they are off on Wednesday, and host the Blue Jays on Thursday). As a member of the 40-man roster, that would delay Torres’ free agency an additional year until the offseason of 2024-25, crediting the Yankees with seven years of control rather than six.

Anything less than 20 days in the Minors would not count as an optional assignment, which would credit the player with retroactive service time. Regardless, general manager Brian Cashman has repeatedly stated that the service time consideration is “not part of my evaluation process.”

“We Men’s 1994 Miami Dolphins 13 Dan Marino 75th Anniversary Aqua Authentic Throwback Jersey ‘re trying to win games,” Cashman said. “Every win for us is valuable.”

“We feed off that energy,” Judge said. “He just attacks hitters. He goes out there and does his stuff. All of his pitches were working tonight. He just makes it look too easy.”

Severino held Miami hitless until Rojas’ fourth-inning double, and that went as the only knock of the right-hander’s 86-pitch effort. He picked up his third victory and entertained a crowd of 32,535 with an eight-strike Mens 1994 Buffalo Bills 35th Anniversary Jim Kelly Mitchell and Ness Royal Blue Throwback Jersey out, one-walk gem.

“I was feeling good,” Severino said. “I was consistent with my breaking pitches. I thought in my last outing, they were right in the middle. I worked on that in the bullpen and threw my changeup.”

Eight Yankees starters recorded a hit in the romp. The lone exception was designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton, who heard boos as he went 0-for-3 with a walk, hit by pitch and two strikeouts against his former club.

“It wasn’t that weird,” Stanton said. “I think once I go to Miami, it’ll be pretty weird for me. It’s just good to see the guys and obviously get a good win, for sure.”

With his Marlins checking into The Bronx for a brief Interleague set, Derek Jeter opted not to make the trek to his old stomping grounds, saying that it would present an “awkward situation” to root against his former team. The Captain probably made the right call.

The Yankees hammered their former left-hander Caleb Smith, who served up five runs in 2 1/3 innings. Gary Sanchez and Tyler Austin picked up first-inning RBIs before Judge hit his fourth homer in the second. The homer was the 60th of Judge’s career in his 197th game played, making him the fastest Major Leaguer to ever reach the mark.

Aaron Hicks raked a two-run double in the third to wrap the scoring off Smith. With Tyler Cloyd summoned from the Miami bullpen, Gregorius cleared the right-field wall in the fourth inning for a two-run shot and New York pulled away with four runs in the fifth, highlighted by Sanchez’s two-run single.

Gregorius’ second homer, a seventh-inning shot to the right-field bullpen off Chris O’Grady, established the Yankees as the first Major League team to record six individual multi-homer games within the first 15 contests of a season.

“It’s the guys in front of me,” Gregorius said. “They give you confidence. There’s always guys on base, so you want to drive them in to get the run in. It’s one of those things that helps each other. That’s the main thing.”

SOUND SMART
Judge extended his hitting streak to 12 games while etching his name into the history books with his second-inning homer off Smith, surpassing Mark McGwire of the 1987-88 Athletics as the fastest player to reach 60 career home runs. McGwire hit his 60th in his 202nd career game.

“He sets the tone,” Yankees manager Aaron Boone said. “His at-bat quality has been through the roof every time, whether he makes an out, whether he gets on base, whether he goes deep. Whatever it i Vintage 1968 Mitchell and Ness Joe Namath New York Jets Throwback Jersey Cheap s, the pitcher has got to work really hard and make all of his best pitches if you’re going to retire him. The two teams also were rained out on Saturday. Instead, the rain froze overnight as temperatures dipped below freezing.

Both teams were scheduled to be off on June 4, which is the first day of the MLB Draft. The Yankees will stop over in between series at Baltimore and Toronto.

Tickets from Saturday’s rainout will be valid for the first game of the June 4 doubleheader. Fans can also exchange their tickets for a similar or lesser-priced regular-season game over the next 12 months except for Opening Day.

Tickets for Sunday’s originally scheduled game, the afternoon game, will be valid for the night game on June 4. No exchange is necessary.

This marks the fifth and sixth postponements the Tigers have suffered this season as unseasonably chilly, damp weather continues its hold on Michigan. Detroit has a day-night doubleheader scheduled for Friday against the Royals to make up a postponement from earlier this month.

The rainouts push the Tigers rotation back a few days. Francisco Liriano, who was originally scheduled to pitch Saturday, will start Tuesday’s series opener against the Orioles, followed by Matthew Boyd on Wednesday and Jordan Zimmermann on Thursday.

Here’s MLB Pipeline’s roundup of the top prospect performances in the Minor Leagues on Saturday.

Jesus Sanchez put his early struggles behind him on Saturday as he delivered his first home run this season along with a pair of doubles to help power Class A  Vintage 1968 Mitchell and Ness Joe Namath New York Jets Throwback Jersey Cheap Advanced Charlotte past Lakeland, 7-4.

Sanchez, MLB Pipeline’s No. 57 overall prospect (Rays’ No. 4), hit a ground-rule double in his first at-bat, connected on a solo shot in his next trip to the plate and added his second double in the top of the eighth inning to finish 3-for-4 with two runs.

After recording just one extra-base hit in his first eight games, Sanchez, a 20-year-old outfielder, raised his average from .179 to .250 with his second multi-hit effort in three games for the Stone Crabs. In 2017, Sanchez slashed .305/.348/.478 with 15 home runs and 29 doubles in 117 games with Class A Bowling Green. Mens 1994 Buffalo Bills 35th Anniversary Jim Kelly Mitchell and Ness Royal Blue Throwback Jersey

Also standing out in the victory were shortstop Lucius Fox (No. 7) and center fielder Josh Lowe (No. 11), as the 20-year-old duo combined for four hits, four RBIs, three runs and three steals from the top of Charlotte’s order.

Fox went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs out of the leadoff spot, also reaching twice via a walk and notching a pair of steals in the contest. Lowe, meanwhile, showcased his impressive power-speed combo as he connected on his second home run and stole his fourth base before finishing 2-for-5. The 2016 first-rounder has been on a tear to open the season, recording hits in eight of nine games while slashing .364/.436/.667.

The rest of the best performances from top prospects Saturday:

No. 3 overall  prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (Blue Jays’ No. 1) posted his third straight two-hit game with at least one RBI and Bo Bichette (Blue Jays’ No. 2, No. 13 overall) extended his hitting streak to eight games as Double-A New Hampshire beat Hartford, 5-2. Guerrero, 19, went 2-for-3 with two RBIs to improve his average to .361. Bichette, meanwhile, owns a .350 average after finishing 1-for-3 with two runs and two walks. On the mound, Sean Reid-Foley (Blue Jays’ No. 10) carried a no-hit bid into the sixth inning en route to completing 6 1/3 frames of two-run ball. The 22-year-old righty permitted five hits and one walk with three strikeouts as he recorded his second straight victory over the Yard Goats.

Guerrero delivers two-run hit

The 21-year-old infielder pushed across the go-ahead run with his first two-bagger in the sixth inning, while his two-run double in the eighth provided the RailRiders with key insurance runs. He’s batting .389 on the young season and has multiple hits in four of his past five games.

Torres smacks an RBI double

No. 10 overall prospect Michael Kopech (White Sox No. 2) worked six strong innings, scattering five hits and allowing one earned run in a no-decision for Triple-A Charlotte. The hard-throwing righty netted just three strikeouts but recorded 11 ground-ball outs in his second start for the Knights. Daniel Palka (No. 30) hit a two-run shot in the loss, marking his third home run in as many games.

No. 11 overall prospect Francisco Mejia picked a good time to hit his first home run, as the (Indians’ No. 1) prospect’s sixth-inning solo shot tied the game and ultimately set up walk-off victory for Triple-A Columbus. The 22-year-old switch-hitter also doubled in the contest to finish 2-for-4 in his third multi-hit gam Men’s 1985 Chicago Bears 34 Walter Payton Mitchell and Ness Authentic Throwback Navy Blue Jersey e this season. He’s plated a run in three straight for the Clippers.

No. 33 overall prospect Alex Verdugo (Dodgers’ No. 2) collected three of Triple-A Oklahoma City’s six hits, though none were bigger than his game-tying home run in the bottom of the eighth inning. The homer, a two-run shot, was the first of the season for the 21-year-old outfielder, who also doubled in the contest before finishing 3-for-4.

No. 43 overall prospect Taylor Trammell (Reds’ No. 3) hit his first home run of the season, connecting on a solo shot in the eighth inning of Class A Advanced Daytona’s 18-13 loss to Jupiter. The two teams combined to hit 11 home runs in the contest to establish a new Florida State League record. Catcher Tyler Stephenson (No. 9) didn’t leave the yard but still had a strong all-around game, going 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and three runs, while also reaching twice via a walk. He’s slashing .448/.568/.724 with six extra-base hits through nine games, while Trammell checks in with a .314 average so far after finishing Saturday’s contest 2-for-4 with three runs.

No. 51 overall prospect Ian Anderson (Braves’ No. 5) fired five scoreless innings but took a no-decision as Class A Advanced Florida fell to Palm Beach, 6-5, in 10 innings. The 2017 first-rounder (No. 3 overall) permitted one hit, walked three and notched five strikeouts before departing the game after 78 pitches (48 strikes). Brett Cumberland (No. 24), Anderson’s battery-mate, continued his hot start by going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles.

No. 53 overall prospect Willie Calhoun (Rangers’ No. 2) went 3-for-5 with three RBIs in his first multi-hit game this season. All three of his hits were singles, while Calhoun’s three RBIs proved the difference in Triple-A Round Rock’s 8-6 win over Colorado Springs. The 23-year-old slugger has tallied hits in eight of nine games for the Express.

Calhoun plates a pair

• After connecting on his third home run for Class A Advanced Potomac, No. 90 overall prospect Carter Kieboom (Nationals’ No. 3) is now one-third of the way towards his 2016 total through just 10 games. The 20-year-old shortstop was plagued by injuries last season but still managed to hit nine homers in 61 games. 2017 second-rounder Wil Crowe (No. 8) picked up his second win in as many starts, tossing five innings of one-run ball to lead the P-Nats past Frederick, 6-2. The big right-hander fanned four and generated another seven outs via ground balls while throwing 40 of his 56 offerings for strikes.

Padres No. 20 prospect Edward Olivares hit a leadoff homer and then collected three more hits to finish 4-for-5 in Class A Advanced Lake Elsinore’s win over Lancaster. The home run was the second this season for the 22-year-old outfielder, who also paced the Storm’s offense with three runs. Right-hander Pedro Avila (No. 26) was lights-out in his second 2018 start, yielding just one hit in seven scoreless innings. He compiled four strikeouts against three walks while throwing 51 of 82 pitches for strikes.

• After failing to escape the second inning in his season debut, Cardinals No. 21 prospect Conner Greene fired on all cylinders for Double-A Springfield en route to his first 2018 win. Starting game one of a doubleheader, the 23-year-old right-hander allowed one hit over six scoreless innings to lead the Cardinals past Midland, 5-0. He posted eight strikeouts against one walk in the stellar performance, throwing 52 of his 83 pitches for strikes.

Greene’s eighth strikeout

Pirates No. 28 prospect Brandon Waddell allowed one unearned run on two hits in six innings as Double-A Altoona edged Erie, 5-4, in 11 innings. The 23-year-old recorded six strikeouts and 11 ground-ball outs, throwing 48 of his 80 pitches for strikes in the walk-less performance. He’s permitted just one earned run and six hits while compiling 13 strikeouts and one walk in 11 2/3 innings (two starts) for the Curve.

Today’s Yankees-Tigers Mitchell and Ness Throwback NFL Jersey game postponed

DETROIT — With the rain forecast to last throughout the day, Saturday’s Yankees-Tigers game at Comerica Park was postponed.

A makeup date has been scheduled for Sunday at 7:10 p.m. ET as part of a day-night split doubleheader in Detroit, the Tigers announced. The first game will start at 1:10 p.m.

DETROIT — With the rain forecast to last throughout the day, Saturday’s Yankees-Tigers game at Comer Vintage 1968 Mitchell and Ness Joe Namath New York Jets Throwback Jersey Cheap ica Park was postponed.

A makeup date has been scheduled for Sunday at 7:10 p.m. ET as part of a day-night split doubleheader in Detroit, the Tigers announced. The first game will start at 1:10 p.m.

“Actually, with some of the bad weather we’ve had, we’ve been pretty fortunate that we’ve been able to get most of them in,” Yankees manager Aaron Boone said. “I know other teams have a lot of makeups to do now, so that makes it a challenge.”

Saturday’s game was officially postponed at 11 a.m., roughly two hours before first pitch. It’s the second game postponed this year for the Yankees, and the fourth for the Tigers.

There was a 100 percent chance of rain expected around first pitch Saturday and a game-time temperature of 38 degrees, with a wind chill around 25 degrees.

Right-hander Luis Cessa was scheduled to make a spot start, filling the spot vacated by CC Sabathia, who has been out since April 7 due to a right hip issue. He will start the second game of the split doubleheader, and right-hander Luis Severino, who was slated to start Sunday’s finale, will start the 1:10 p.m. game as initially scheduled.

The Tigers, meanwhile, will stick with their same starters: Fr Men’s 1994 Buffalo Bills 35th Anniversary Jim Kelly Mitchell and Ness Royal Blue Throwback Jersey ancisco Liriano will start the 1:10 p.m. game, and left-hander Matthew Boyd will take the mound for Game 2.

Weathe Mens 1994 Buffalo Bills 35th Anniversary Jim Kelly Mitchell and Ness Royal Blue Throwback Jersey r conditions for Sunday’s split doubleheader aren’t promising, with heavy rains once again expected to fall throughout much of the day.

“It doesn’t look very good [for Sunday], but we’ll just try and have a good day of rest today,” said Boone. “We’ll prepare ourselves like we are going tomorrow, and we’ll see what Mother Nature has for us.”

In the event both games are postponed Sunday, Boone said Severino would be pushed back to Monday’s series opener against the Marlins, and Sabathia, who is on the 10-day disabled list, will start Tuesday, with Masahiro Tanaka being pushed back to Thursday.

Sabathia, who was forced to exit his previous start last Friday due to a hip flexor strain, threw a 57-pitch bullpen session Thursday and didn’t experience any discomfort. He was scheduled to throw another bullpen Saturday, and barring a setback, he’ll rejoin the Yankees on Tuesday.

If a makeup date is necessary, there are several mutual off-days for the two clubs that could work, including June 4, Aug. 20 and Sept. 13.

But we’ll see.”

“I was not excited about going on the DL, but they wanted to be cautious,” Hicks said. “Now it’s in the past and I’m just getting ready for this upcoming series.”

In a corresponding roster move, the Yankees designated outfielder Shane Robinson for assignment. Robinson played in both of the first two games in New York’s series against the Red Sox, going 1-for-3 with a stolen base.

When a player’s contract is designated for assignment — often abbreviated “DFA” — that player is immediately removed from his club’s 40-man roster, and 25-man roster if he was on that as well. Within seven days of the transaction (it was previously 10 days), the player must either be traded, released or placed on irrevocable outright waivers.

Hicks appeared in a pair of Minor League rehabilitation games for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, going 2-for-6 with a double. The switch-hitter drove to Boston from Moosic, Pa., after playing in the RailRiders’ 2-0 loss to Lehigh Valley on Tuesday.

“Everything went well,” Hicks said. “I played all nine innings, got four at-bats Mitchell and Ness Dan Fouts Los Angeles Chargers Vintage 1984 Throwback Football Jersey Cheap  and the swing feels good.”

Blackout

The television in Austin’s Boston hotel room remained off on Wednesday morning, with the infielder/outfielder opting not to tune into what he was certain would be wall-to-wall commentary of the Yankees-Red Sox fracas.

“I’ve tried not to pay attention to it, to be honest with you,” Austin said. “It’s hard not to when it’s on every TV channel, but for the most part, I’ve tried to keep off of reading comments on social media and watching the TV.”

Austin had his left elbow wrapped, one day after being drilled by Kelly’s 98-mph fastball, but said that he felt fine. Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that there were no injuries to report from the incident.

“We came out pretty good, actually,” Boone said. “Obviously that’s one of the biggest concerns you have as a manager, making sure that guys are all right. You look back at some of the replays and you see guys in the middle there hanging on for dear life. You know a lot can go wrong in those scrums when there’s heated things going on.”

He said it: “I think, hopefully, it’s something that’s behind us. We’re here to play and try to get out of here hopefully with another win. I would think it’s absolutely behind us.” — Boone, on Wednesday’s incident

The two teams also were rained out on Saturday. Since this weekend is the Yankees’ only scheduled visit to the Motor  Mens 1994 Buffalo Bills 35th Anniversary Jim Kelly Mitchell and Ness Royal Blue Throwback Jersey City this season, the teams were hoping the weather would relent at some point on Sunday. Instead, the r Men’s 1985 Chicago Bears 34 Walter Payton Mitchell and Ness Authentic Throwback Navy Blue Jersey ain froze overnight as temperatures dipped below freezing.

Both teams were scheduled to be off on June 4, which is the first day of the MLB Draft. The Yankees will stop over in between series at Baltimore and Toronto.

Tickets from Saturday’s rainout will be valid for the first game of the June 4 doubleheader. Fans can also exchange their tickets for a similar or lesser-priced regular-season game over th Mitchell and Ness Dan Fouts Los Angeles Chargers Vintage 1984 Throwback Football Jersey Cheap e next 12 months except for Opening Day.
